Dear Electoral Board members and General Registrar members:
The VEBA Board met March 10 and decided to change the date of the annual meeting at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.
This was done after numerous communications from members.
It was decided that it was necessary to consider the health and safety of the election community because of the concern of having a large group of people and the risk of COVID-19. The new dates are Monday through Wednesday, May 18, 19, and 20. These dates were chosen with consideration to the election schedule and to the schedule of The Homestead, whose staff has been very flexible in working with our organization.
On March 13, The Homestead graciously canceled all existing reservations to simplify the transition for members. You should have received information about how to make a new reservation. Use these instructions to contact The Homestead.
This was a difficult decision and we know that it will cause difficulties for some, but again we act with what we believe is in the best interest for our members.
